Maha Shah is a senior at George Mason University majoring in Global Affairs with a concentration in global governance and minoring in business. She is a traditional off campus student that was born and raised in the Northern Virginia area. Maha chose to pursue this major because she has always been interested in working for the government and traveling the world. Her ideal job to have after graduating would be working for an NGO that would help with public health issues. Maha has always been involved in extracurricular activities on campus. She served as a senator in the GMU Student Government for two years. Also, she held a leadership position as Senate Military liaison which helped bridge the gap between the military community and the rest of the student body. As a student senator, one of her main focuses was to balance the transition of the university while maintaining a stable experience despite the rapid progress of the university. This would ensure a greater university experience for the student body. Asides from her work on campus, Maha enjoys all things related to the arts. She has been a make up artist for four years now and currently she holds a position at MAC Cosmetics where she is able to exercise her artistic ability. She is accustomed to always working with a team and staying determined to put in her best effort. Maha likes to go by the saying “team work makes the dream work”.
